First Church of the Nazarene Youth
Hold Successful Bag on the Door Drive

Last month a handful of youth experienced being homeless-for-a-weekend! Joe Evans, Youth Leader at First Church of the Nazarene, has made it an annual event to have his youth group experience homelessness.Last year they slept in cardboard boxes down by the river.
This year they fasted normal meals, by eating a handful of beans for breakfast and a handful of rice for dinner. During their fast, they served the Mission guests by cooking a steak and eggs breakfast. The youth also completely organized the kitchen basement. Later, they hung bags on neighborhood doors as part of CWRM’s Bag-on-the-Door project, which helped to collect needed items for CWRM.
While learning to appreciate what they have, these youth also learned about servant hood. The Mission is grateful for these youth, and for all who donated staple items for the guests at CWRM. If you or your group would like to participate in a needs drive for CWRM, please call Becky at 307-268-4474.

On Thursday, August 6th, CWRM will hold the 10th Annual Farnham’s Furniture Galleries Golf Marathon for Charity. Participants will play 18 holes in the morning at Three Crowns Golf Course, have lunch, then play 18 holes at Paradise Valley Golf Course. Breakfast, lunch and snacks, and a goodie bag will be provided.
A minimum of $500 in pledges is required to play. Great prizes are available for those collecting $1,000 or more in pledges! To maximize the amount raised for charity, we are seeking hole sponsors to offset the cost of this event.
If you would like to play, sponsor, or volunteer for this event, please use the coupon on page 4 or call 307-268-4474.
CWRM would especially like to thank Chaz Farnham of Farnham’s Furniture Galleries for his title sponsorship of this event for the past 10 years. Through this partnership, more than $175,000 has been raised to help the guests at the Mission. THANK YOU, Chaz for your generosity and kindness to CWRM!
