This Scripture summarizes what the Central Wyoming Rescue Mission is all about. Through our discipleship program the grace, love and power of Jesus is available to "whosoever" desires to be set free from their "chains" and find a new life in Christ. Hi! My name is Carl Wolosin and I am a missionary presently serving the Lord as the Executive Director and Chaplain at the Mission. It's been over 15 years since the Lord first opened the door for me at the Mission. I was a Board of Trustee member and was used by God to hire an Executive Director (Dan) who in turn, hired me as the Director of Residential Services and the Chaplain. Dan became my mentor and trained me in the ministry of Rescue. Eight years ago Dan took a position at another Mission and I stepped into the Executive Director's spot while continuing to function as the Chaplain. My passion is Jesus and His Great Commission, discipleship; training men and women, who have received Jesus as their Savior and Lord and/or rededicated their lives to Him, to develop and deepen relational intimacy with Him. Our discipleship program is intended to be a "vehicle" leading individuals to come to know Jesus; fall deeply in love with Him; and with a heart filled with gratitude, choose to serve Him with what remains of the rest of their lives. Transformation rather than information! One important goal of our discipleship program is to help each individual find and enter into the specific and unique will of God for them (Ephesians 2:10). I entered into a saving relationship with Jesus at the age of thirty (1977) after hitting my own personal bottom. I was successful on the outside as a Petroleum Geologist yet on the inside I was empty and unfulfilled. I had no answer for the question, "Why was I on this earth sucking air?" The "fun" of drugs and alcohol were a poor substitute, only deepening my despair and hopelessness. Suicide seemed like a "reasonable" alternative to a life of emotional pain and depression. A lovely wife, a nice home and all the "toys" gave no reprieve from this emptiness. It was at this point in my life when I was finally ready to "hear" that Jesus loved me and would help me. With tears and sincerity I prayed, "Jesus, if You are real, please come into my life and make a difference!" He did and I have never been the same since. No matter what our present situation may be, the same Jesus that made, and is still making such a difference in my life will certainly do the same for you. He is no respecter of persons. This is why the Central Wyoming Rescue Mission is here, to proclaim the Good News of Jesus and give you an opportunity to experience for yourself the life-transforming power of His love. |
