Lives Changed

About Us

Our Mission

The Central Wyoming Rescue Mission is a Christ centered, non-profit organization that exists to glorify God by striving to RESCUE suffering men, women and children; RESTORE their bodies, minds and spirits; and RECONCILE them to God, family and community.

Non-Medical Detox

CWRM provides a non-medical detox center for a period of one to three days. Guests who experience acute medical distress are referred to the local medical center for medical detox.

Emergency Shelter Program

The CWRM Emergency Shelter Program offers guests housing, three nutritious meals per day, laundry, clothes, showers, non-medical detox and compassionate case management for poor and homeless men, women and children at the Men’s New Life Center or Women’s Transformation Center.

More About The Emergency Shelter Program

Drop-in-Center

The Mission’s dining room is open during the daytime hours for use by CWRM guests as well as members of the community.

Discipleship Program

Christian Counseling is available to CWRM guests through program directors and case managers. The free Discipleship Program offers guests structured, long-term residential housing (separate for men & women or women w/ children), meals, laundry, clothes, showers, compassionate intensive case management and life skills training. The goal of each person’s individualized program plan is to address and overcome the life-controlling problems with the goal of attaining successful independent living.

Long-Term Transitional Housing Program

CWRM guests who have successfully completed their Discipleship Program may move into the Mission’s long-term residential transitional housing at the Men’s New Life Center or the Women’s Transformation Center. They have the opportunity, in a supportive environment, to gain independent living and focus on important life skills such as purchasing and preparing meals; time and money management; healthy recreational interests and hobbies; attainment of gainful employment and suitable housing.

Treatment Referrals

CWRM maintains a professional working relationship with many human service agencies in Casper and throughout Wyoming. Referrals are made to and received from: Wyoming Medical Center; Wyoming Behavioral Institute; Wyoming Recovery; Central Wyoming Counseling Center; Fremont County Counseling Center; Alcoholics Anonymous; local churches; local families; and agencies from surrounding communities.

CWRM Thrift Store

Rescued Treasures provides a wide variety of quality used clothing and merchandise for a very reasonable price. Those truly needy from the community receive freely from the store. All proceeds from sales at Rescued Treasures benefit the programs of CWRM. Our friendly staff is here to help you 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Donations may be dropped off from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
We have FREE Popcorn!

Strong Christian Emphasis – CWRM believes that the Gospel of Jesus Christ offers the answer to the human dilemma in all of its forms and expressions. CWRM staff express loving care and acceptance of all Mission guests. There is no discrimination based on religion, sex, race, gender, etc., and services are available to anyone who comes for help. All Christian spiritual pursuits are strictly voluntary.
