  • We are in great need of canned food items, especially fruits and vegetables. Canned goods can be brought to the Mission at 230 N. Park Street.
  • We need men's underwear, shoes & socks
  • Also, we desperately need at least one storage shed (10' by 12' preferably) to lock up the Mission's tools, snow shovels, lawn mowers, and other maintenance items.
If are able to donate towards a storage shed, please mail a check to the Central Wyoming Rescue Mission P.O. Box 2030 Casper, Wyoming 82602 & mark your memo "storage shed."

Mission Guests' Place in Cook-Off

As part of their residential training program, our Mission guests attend the Cent$ible Nutrition class offered by the University of Wyoming's College of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service.
Class participants were invited to take part in the 8th annual Cent$ible Cook-off held May 31st.
Some of our guests received recognition for their recipes which were judged for nutritional value, taste and appearance. We thought you might enjoy trying them out for yourselves!

Preheat Oven and Cookie Sheet to 375 degrees. Boil sweet potatoes in water until easily pierced with a fork. Cool slightly, place cooked and peeled potatoes in a large mixer bowl. Beat with electric mixer until smooth. Stir in butter until smooth. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Mix in spices, salt and milk. Pour into unbaked shells and bake on preheated cookie sheet, near center of oven for 70 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

CWRM Celebrates Missionary Training Graduation

The atmosphere was festive on August 2nd as the Church of the Nazarene sponsored the graduation of our program guests who completed the Mission's most recent 4-month session of Missionary Training Programs I & II. The ceremony which was attended by the graduates, Mission guests, staff, board members and class teachers who enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by the church. The graduates beamed as they received their certificates of completion, and as always, we closed in a prayer of thanksgiving and encouragement for the grateful grads. Below are the feelings expressed by just a few of our graduates.

Robbie—As I live every day through Christ, if I do well in today, yesterday is going to be a memory of happiness and tomorrow becomes a vision of hope.
Matt—God has opened doors for me and made my tomorrows clearer to see and understand.
Carmen—In every way I am blessed. I have peace and a hope I have never known before, and I am even starting to like ME!
Norman—I know that God planned for me to be here—and He has done so much for me, I don't even know how to express it in words.
Sandy—Because of past experiences and circumstances, it was hard to feel God's presence or any purpose or order in my lie. Since coming to CWRM I've moved from doubt to faith and I know God has a plan for me and I have a purpose for my life.
