A Gift In Honor…
A donation was made in
memory of Dana Penn
by Faun Cole
FYI: Unless gifts are given as memorials or honorariums, we will be listing our donors at year's end . This will save the Mission $3000 each year. Thanks for your understanding.
Many thanks to our Kitchen Volunteers for ministering to
our guests at meal time.

Carl's away getting some much needed rest and refreshing...
and so a word from Larry Burkett's A Word on Finances.
"When we have problems, the first thing we should ask for is wisdom—not money, not power, but wisdom. That's the key that will unlock all the doors. God's Word says that if we trust Him he will grant wisdom to us liberally and without reproach. How can we seek God's wisdom in our finances? God's Word promises that if we ask anything according to His will, and believe we will receive it, it will be given to us. That includes wisdom, which is fundamental in the area of finances if we are going to make sound financial decisions." "How blessed is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding. For its profit is better than the profit of silver, and its gain than fine gold." May God lead you into all wisdom as you seek His will regarding your finances and every area of your life.

News From Rescued Treasures
The month of August brought generous donations & excellent sales to Rescued Treasures to make for a very successful month. We did our first ever 50% off store wide parking lot sale. What fun to have enough surplus to pass on such saving to our customers!
New discipleship classes are under way with new faces as well as some old who are beginning Discipleship II classes. What a joy it is to be part of a program offered to individuals as an opportunity to begin their lives anew. Besides, we are blessed in return to have so much extra help at the store. We could never accomplish all we do without these extra hands. Please pray with us that God will continue to bless our ministry here at the store.
