The community of Casper and so many of the Mission's faithful supporters near and far helped make this year's March Matching Challenge a tremendous success.
This year, a handful of generous local philanthropists pledged $15,000 in matching funds for gifts given to CWRM in the month of March. Once the Challenge was announced, the checks started pouring in. Individuals and businesses who have never given to the Mission (and possibly never even heard of CWRM) sent in or brought by checks of all amounts. Many faithful supporters of the Mission unselfishly increased their usual giving, knowing their gifts would be worth double because of the Challenge.
When it was all said and done, the Mission raised $27,341.00 in donations that came in as a result of the Challenge. Add that to the $15,000 in pledged matching funds, and the total benefit to CWRM is over $42,000!
We want to thank Kelly Boyle & City Service Electric, Kathleen Hemry, Joe Bicek and our other donors for making this event possible. Also, a big thank you to KTWO TV and KTWO and KUYO Radio for sharing this event on our local news. And thank you to each and every one who gave so generously this past month to help us carry on the programs of the Central Wyoming Rescue Mission.
GOD BLESS YOU!
